The 1640 Society Family Office Conference

The Table Club is delighted to offer the opportunity to take some of its Australian families to one of the most exclusive Family Office events of the year, the 1640 Society annual family office conference. The event will be held at a private residence in Southampton NY and is being run by some of the more prominent families in the US who together form the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is made up of a number of old American families, including the Getty, Ford, Firestone, Kettering, Davis & Pitcairn families. The conference is different from all others as it is being run by the families for the families with less of a commercial agenda and mainly the family members and their CIO’s will be attending. The event will be limited to about 200 people. Families fly in from all over the globe. There is also great entertainment scheduled with a young emerging pop singer performing, and possibly a short 40 minute opera in the late afternoon. The event will begin with breakfast and continue with lunch and evening cocktails. The day shall feature presentations from some of the leading families in America on philanthropy, investments and family governance.
