The Table Club is delighted to invite you to lunch on Wednesday, 19^th October 2022, with Australian based private equity manager, Edison Partners, as our hosts. Joining us will be Edison Partners’ Principal, Jason Ellenport, and Head of Private Equity, Michael Thompson. Jason and Michael will be discussing the Edison Growth Fund, and the rationale behind the Fund’s initial portfolio investments, which include Sullivans Cove, Action Rehab, and Oz Hair & Beauty.

Edison Partners was founded in 2006 and has significant experience across the Retail & Consumer, Food & Beverage, Health & Wellbeing, and Services sectors. The Edison team bring first-hand entrepreneurial experience, combined with top-tier private equity, venture capital and M&A advisory expertise.

The Edison Growth Fund, targeting a gross IRR of 20% – 25% p.a., provides a unique opportunity to invest in proven and profitable privately-owned businesses during an expansion phase of their lifecycle:

• A portfolio of private company investments. The Fund provides access to the private market via a portfolio of professionally managed investments across multiple sectors.
• Real businesses with real profits. The Fund does not invest in start-ups or pure-play technology companies. Nor does it invest in pre-profit or “nearing- profit” scenarios. It only invests in established businesses with a history of delivering profits, positive cashflows and growth.
• An underserved market segment. The Fund invests in a segment not served by larger private equity or venture capital. There’s a gap in the local capital market and it creates opportunities for investors.
• Off-market deal flow and active support. Edison generates unique deal flow, typically dealing one-on-one with target businesses and their founders outside of a market process. Edison then provides meaningful support post-investment.
• Sector specialists. The Fund only invests in sectors where the Edison team have deep knowledge and first-hand experience. The Edison Principals have personally founded, built, and sold businesses within these sectors.
